Auto Guard Pro ("we", "our", or "the app") is a car rental operators customer record database application operated by AutoGuardProPH. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
- Renter Records: Information you submit about renters, including names, contact details, identification documents, and rental history for blacklist management.
- Camera & Photos: With your permission, we access your device camera to capture photos of IDs, contracts, evidence, and signatures for record-keeping purposes.
- Fleet Information: Vehicle details you add to manage your rental fleet.
- Device Information: We collect device identifiers for push notification delivery and app functionality.
How We Use Your Information
- To maintain a shared database of renter records for car rental operators
- To facilitate communication between operators and renters
- To generate rental contracts and booking documentation
- To send notifications about bookings and important updates
- To calculate rental pricing and charges
- To improve app functionality and user experience
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage. We implement appropriate security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Data Sharing
Renter records submitted by operators may be visible to other verified operators in the database for safety purposes. We do not sell personal data to third parties. We may share data when required by law or to protect our rights.
Your Rights
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data
- You can revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings
- You can contact us to access, correct, or delete your personal information
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect information:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Database, Storage, Analytics, Cloud Messaging)
- Google Sign-In
- Expo / EAS (App distribution)
- Maya (Payment processing)
Location Data
We collect approximate device location in the following situations, and only when your device's location permission is granted:
- When you set or verify your garage or business location — used to place your vehicles on the renter-facing map and rank them by distance.
- Once when you open the app — a single location entry is recorded per session for fraud prevention and account security. The app never asks for location permission just to do this; if permission was not already granted, nothing is recorded.
Location history entries are visible only to platform administrators, are never shared with other users, and are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Legal Agreement Records
When you sign the Terms of Service in the app, we permanently store a record of your acceptance (the name you typed, the terms version, the date and time, and the platform used). These records are retained for as long as required to document the agreement and cannot be edited or deleted, including by you, as they form part of our legal records under Philippine law.
Children's Privacy
Auto Guard Pro is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app.
